This wedding day was so lovely!! Melissa + Austin met at work, hit it off, became best friends, and are now husband and wife. The two married at the Orchard Event Center in Azel, TX on June 18th, 2016. It was a HOT & humid day, but it was SO fun, beautiful, and such a good day all around. Melissa’s wedding details were timeless, elegant, and romantic. The couple married outside overlooking a pond with horses and cattle grazing nearby. The couple has a lot of close friends, and had many a part of their wedding party. I loved the soft romantic hue’s with the girls dresses, and Melissa’s wedding dress was to DIE for!! The lace sleeves were an additional piece that she wore for the ceremony and turned her dress into a strapless dress for the reception. I LOVED the way she could transition her look so easily. After the ceremony and the couple had a bite to eat, they let me take them out for a few minutes to a river and open field towards the entrance of the venue, and the lighting was PERFECTION. It was a great time for the bride + groom to catch a breather before greeting guests and dancing the night away. We took a walk and snapped photos as the light wrapped around them like magic. These “just married” portraits are some of my favorite of the day. The couple is at ease, their bellies are full, they are excited to dance, and equally appreciate the moment to just be together & get some pretty lovely pictures out of it. It’s the best lighting of the day, which lighting is EVERYTHING, and it’s a great time all together. The couple re-entered their reception without missing a beat and had a blast dancing the night away. It was a lovely day and I had such a fun time capturing it all!! Congratulations to the newlyweds!!

Kerry+Rafael Chavez married at the intimate Ransom Canyon Chapel on June 11th, 2016. Rafael’s best man was his son, his daughter was the flower girl, and Kerry’s best girlfriend was the Maid of Honor. Their closest family and friends gathered for an intimate and sweet ceremony, with a delicious dinner celebration on the chapel’s patio with the best dinner music. This day was so redeeming, and the love that exuded from the couple was filled with so much assurance and peace. Honeychild catered the dinner, and holy cow, I LOVE their catering!! They did such a wonderful job providing a beautiful dinner for the family and friends to enjoy and celebrate the newlyweds.
To Kerry & Rafael, thank you so much for choosing ALLEEJ as your wedding photographer. You guys have been such a delight to work with, and your love is so encouraging and touching to witness. I’m so glad the Lord brought you two together, and I know you guys will have a beautiful life together! Congratulations!!

Meagan + Micah tied the knot at Walnut Tree Weddings in Olton, Texas on June 4th, 2016. These two met in college at ACU in Abilene, TX and quickly became best friends. This wedding day was so relaxed, sweet, and full of so much pride & joy from the couple, their family, and friends. Micah’s father is a Chaplain in the Navy and commenced the ceremony. It was a bit tear jerking… and always is when a proud father is giving his blessing & using His God given and earthly authority to bring two in marriage through a wedding ceremony. One of my favorite things that they did during the ceremony was Micah + Meagan each wrote a letter that they placed in a basket with a bottle of wine. The purpose, is when things get rough, when hope is low, when they aren’t sure where to look, they can come together and commune over bread and wine & read their letters filled with words of love, hope, purpose, and commitment to one another. I think this is so neat, and so necessary. A beautiful way to support your marriage from the very beginning. Everything about this day was so sweet, and such a blessing to be a part of. Walnut Tree is beautiful as always, and the couple and their families ate and danced the evening away. At the end of the evening, the parents sent off the newlyweds with flower leis to kickoff their adventure to Hawaii! Congratulations Meagan + Micah!! Hope you two had a heavenly honeymoon in paradise!!
